How to Root Moto G Android 4.4.4 KitKat
Motorola, previously owned by Google has the privilege of upgrading to the latest Android version as fast as Nexus devices. Recently, Moto G Dual Sim has just received the upgrade to Android 4.4.4 KitKat version which is the latest in the market. It is a good news to Moto G users as latest firmware should improve the performance and stability of the phone further. Nevertheless, KitKat is well-known of the low memory consumption on Android devices.
Those who has root Moto G in 4.4.2 version and updated to 4.4.4, your phone root access is no longer valid. In other mean, you need to root Moto G again in Android 4.4.4 firmware. It wouldn’t be difficult to do so as Aashish from XDA has compiled a detailed procedure for you.

Pre-requisites & Requirements
- Motorola Moto G (Dual Sim version) (Ensure correct device model and firmware; Check device model – Go to Settings -> About Device -> Model Number)
- Windows-based computer or laptop
- Download Motorola Moto G USB driver for Windows and install in your computer.
- Connect device to computer with USB cable to complete installation.
- Skip this step if you have installed the USB driver.
- Enable USB Debugging on your device. How to Enable USB Debugging Mode on Android Devices.
- Make sure your phone is charged to 60% 80% to avoid battery blackout and interruption during this tutorial.
- We recommend you make a backup on your data and media files before the tutorial. You may restore the data and files if necessary.

Reminder: Unlock bootloader will erase all the device data. Make a full backup before you proceed.

Instructions
- Download all necessary files above.
- Extract adb driver zip file on your PC desktop.
- Copy recovery.img file into this extracted folder.
- Connect your device to PC. Copy and paste the SuperSU file to internal storage of the phone.
- Unplug and turn off your device.
- Reboot into download mode by pressing and hold Volume Down + Power button, then release Power button.
- Now, connect your device to PC via USB cable.
- Go to adb tool folder, press SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK the folder, then followed by OPEN COMMAND WINDOW HERE.
- In the CMD windows, type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and press enter to continue.
- Once complete, press Volume Down then followed by Volume Up to boot into CWM recovery.
- In CWM, select INSTALL FROM SDCARD –> SuperSU.
- After install SuperSU, reboot system.
- When rebooting from CWM, it will ask “root is broken”, choose YES.
