Pre-requisites & Requirements

  1. Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro I8552 (Ensure correct device model and firmware; Check device model – Go to Settings -> About Device -> Model Number)
  2. Windows-based computer or laptop
  3. Download Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro USB driver for Windows and install in your computer.
  4. Connect device to computer with USB cable to complete installation.
  5. Skip this step if you have installed the USB driver.

  7. Make sure your phone is charged to 60% 80% to avoid battery blackout and interruption during this tutorial.

Instructions:

  1. Ensure you allow third party app installation. (Goto Settings -> Security -> Tick on Unknown sources)
  2. Ensure USB debugging is turned on. How to Enable USB Debugging Mode on Android Devices.
  3. Download Framaroot-1.5.2.apk to your device.
  4. Open and run the downloaded apk file and proceed installation.
  5. Once installation is complete, open Framaroot and select Select action to execute after root as Install SuperUser or Install SuperSU (preferred).
  6. At the end of the process, Select an exploit in list above to potentially root your device as GANDALF.
  7. Now, you should see Success.. SuperUser and SU binary installed.
  8. Reboot your device after you see the success notification.
  9. Your device is now rooted.
  10. Download root checker to check your root status.

    Do you mean you have successfully rooted initially but lost root after firmware upgrade?

    Sad to hear that. We will help you to downgrade back to stock firmware and regain the root access if you wish. Else, we shall alternative root method for Galaxy Quattro.

    Money, new Frameroot is updated. You may try the latest frameroot apk to root your Quattro. Do let us know if it is ok. This will definitely help others.

      the framwroot 1.5.3 is not helpul.. it crashes everytime.. and moreover the 1.6.0 is also out which cannot root this device :(
