How To Fix Lag On LG G3

The new LG G3 is a perfect and powerful beast in 2014. It is beautiful, however a lot of users experience lag on their device. Same experience happen to me when only I play the display demo set. Lag in scrolling in the browser and lag in home screen swiping. Lag is not so significant but I would say it was not acceptable. If you got a laggy G3, you may try out method below to fix the lag.

I recommend 3 methods to fix the lag on LG G3.

First, change it to LG G3 32GB with 3GB RAM version if you own a 16GB 2GB RAM version. In xda forum, a lot users with 2GB RAM G3 experience more lags then 3GB RAM G3. The more RAM does not necessary bring better experience but the better performance could be due to different manufacturing batches. If you just newly get a 2GB RAM G3, I recommend you get an exchange right away when the retailers still willing to do that.

Secondly, if you got a unroot G3 and yet to fix the lag, check out method share by stefan063 from xda. The method is very to apply by changing LG hidden service menu. Follow steps below.

1. Enter the following based on your device model:
3845#*855# (for International model)
3845#*851# (for T-Mobile)
3845#*850# (for AT&T)
5689#*990# – LG Hidden Service Menu (for Sprint G3)
Dial: #228378 + send, LG Hidden Service Menu (for Verizon G3)
2. Scroll down to High Temperature Property OFF and turn it ON.
3. Power off G3 and wait for 10 seconds.
4. Power on G3 and wait for 60 seconds before unlock the screen.
5. Follow steps 1 to enter hidden menu again.
6. Select Thermal Daemon Mitigation OFF.
7. Repeat step 3 to 4 again.

Enjoy lag free LG G3. (Source: Xda)

Third, if you got a rooted G3 then you have a lot of options to perform modification but I’ll share you the simplest way.

Download from Google Play Store. It is a simple app to improve the overall android experience. It could be obvious or no. Experience on your own risk. It works well for me.
