CWM Recovery for Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

After many reviews by others, most of the users gave good and positive review about Xperia Z3 compact, especially on the battery life as well as the enhanced display panel. If you got a Xperia Z3C on hand now, it is glad to let you know that custom ROM will be available on Xperia Z3C very soon as the custom recovery, CWM-based 6.0.4.7 Recovery is now available for Xperia Z3C.

Install CWM-based Recovery on Sony Xperia Z3C

Step 1: Ensure you have bootloader unlocked. Unlock tutorial here, make sure you read the term and condition before do it.

Step 2: Working adb and fastboot on your PC. Setup tutorial is here.

Step 3: Download the recovery image here. Thanks to DooMLoRD.

Step 4: If you follow our adb setup tutorial, you should have a folder at C:\fastboot\. Copy the downloaded boot.img file to this folder.

Step 5: Go to Windows Command Prompt, Start –> Run –> cmd. Type cd C:\fastboot.

Step 6: Type fastboot flash boot boot.img in the command prompt. Wait to finish flashing, It should takes few seconds.

Step 7: Continue to reboot from fastboot. Type in fastboot reboot in the command prompt.

Step 8: Your device should now reboot. Enjoy!

How To Enter Custom Recovery On Sony Xperia Z3C

Step 1: Power off your device.

Step 2: Power on again your device.

Step 3: When you see Sony logo and the device’s notification LED light turn to Pink/Amber/Orange, keep pressing (not hold) volume up button.

Step 4: You may skip recovery by steps above. No worry, repeat steps above and I’m sure you will able to enter the custom recovery mode.
