Samsung device is most common android device nowadays in the market. Samsung devices are pretty much similar on its base, like system, bootloader, baseband, kernel and e.t.c. If you own a Samsung device like Galaxt S3, S4, S5, or Note series, Note 2, 3 and yet to start customization, then you are late but would not be too late. Before start doing all these customization, let’s familiarize with Samsung Android software and how to check it. Method below works for all Samsung devices.
Basically, if you are still with stock firmware on your device, you could quickly check on the software version. Below is one of the example. You would see

- Kernel version
- and Build number
